Globe Willow
Salix matsudana 'Navajo'Globe Willow creates a broad, rounded silhouette with long, slender branches that extend outward and gently downward from the canopy. The narrow green leaves give the foliage a light, textured appearance, allowing the branches to remain visible through the canopy. Its naturally rounded form creates a strong shade presence without looking overly dense or rigid. Reaching about 30 to 40 feet tall and wide at maturity, it develops a substantial presence that works well as a focal tree in open landscapes and larger planting areas.
- Deciduous tree
- Narrow green foliage
- Rounded, spreading growth habit
- Fast growth rate
- Excellent for focal plantings, open landscapes, and large spaces
Globe Willow thrives in full sun and prefers moist, well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 5 through 9, it provides broad shade, soft texture, and a graceful form in Texas landscapes.
