Desert Globemallow

Sphaeralcea ambigua

Desert Globemallow carries clusters of soft orange, cup-shaped blooms that appear lightly along upright, branching stems. The flowers are spaced with room between them, creating an open, breathable look rather than a dense layer of color. Its gray-green foliage adds a muted base that lets the blooms stand out without feeling heavy. The overall form is loose and natural, with a mounding habit that spreads evenly while maintaining structure. Reaching about 2 to 3 feet tall and spreading 2 to 3 feet wide at maturity, it develops a relaxed, balanced presence that works well in borders, native plantings, and xeriscapes.
