Setsugekka Camellia
Camellia sasanqua 'Setsugekka'Setsugekka Camellia has a lighter, more open feel, with broad white blooms that donât crowd the plant. The petals are slightly irregular, giving each flower a soft, natural look rather than a tightly formed shape. Its branching spreads outward in layers, creating depth without becoming dense. Reaching about 8 to 12 feet tall and spreading 6 to 8 feet wide at maturity, it forms a tall, relaxed presence that works well in screens, borders, and foundation plantings.
- Evergreen flowering shrub
- Large white blooms with golden centers
- Open, upright growth habit
- Moderate growth rate
- Excellent for screens, borders, and foundation plantings
Setsugekka Camellia thrives in partial shade and prefers well-drained soil. Hardy in USDA zones 7 through 9, it provides soft seasonal color and a layered, natural form in Texas landscapes.
