Golden Spirit Smoketree

Golden Spirit Smoketree makes foliage the main event, carrying rounded leaves in bright yellow to golden-green tones across its branching form. In summer, wispy flower clusters appear above the leaves, creating the hazy, smoke-like effect that gives the plant its name. As temperatures cool, the foliage shifts toward warmer shades of orange and coral, giving the shrub another distinct look before the leaves drop. Reaching about 8 to 12 feet tall and spreading 6 to 8 feet wide at maturity, it provides both height and strong color contrast in borders, mixed plantings, and landscape focal points.

• Deciduous flowering shrub
• Golden foliage with airy, smoke-like plumes
• Upright, spreading growth habit
• Moderate growth rate
• Excellent for specimen plantings, borders, and mixed shrub beds

Golden Spirit Smoketree develops its strongest foliage color in full sun and prefers soil with good drainage. Hardy in USDA zones 4 through 8, it brings changing color, soft floral texture, and a bright presence to Texas landscapes.
