Americana Agave Opal

Americana Agave ‘Opal’ offers all the bold presence of its parent species in a more compact and elegantly colored form. Reaching 4 feet tall and spreading to 6 feet wide, it forms a low, symmetrical rosette of wide, slightly arching leaves. The leaf surfaces have a soft blue opalescence and thin marginal spines, making the plant less harsh in appearance than other agaves, adding more interest to this heat-hardy plant. The slightly curved leaf tips lend a sense of softness. It brings texture and contrast to rock beds, succulent groupings, or architectural planting designs.
