Firecracker Bush

Bouvardia ternifolia

Firecracker Bush produces masses of slender, tubular red flowers that hang along its fine, arching stems. The narrow blooms create bright bursts of color against the small green foliage, giving the plant a light, airy appearance. Its naturally cascading branches develop into a loose, spreading form that brings movement and texture to the landscape. Reaching about 2 to 4 feet tall and spreading 2 to 3 feet wide at maturity, it develops a graceful presence that works well in borders and containers.
