Planning Your Trip to the Farm

Everything you need to know before visiting the Treeland Nursery farm, from what to wear to where to eat nearby.

Planning Your Trip to the Farm

We’re so grateful for all of our customers who make the trip out to the farm to shop and explore. We know it’s not always the quickest drive, and we truly appreciate every visit and the chance to earn your trust.

To make things easier, we’ve streamlined the shopping process:

  • Prefer to shop from home? You can order your trees online, and our staff will tag the nicest available trees for you.
  • Want to hand-pick your own trees? We welcome you to the farm and have put together answers to some of the most common customer questions to help guide the process.

What to Wear

We recommend wearing sneakers or comfortable sandals when visiting the farm. While all of our tree pads are rocked, they don’t mix well with high heels (you’d be surprised how many customers have tried!).

If you’re visiting during warmer months, don’t forget a hat or sunscreen — it can get sunny out here.

When to Visit

  • Browsing Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8 AM – 5 PM
  • Pickup Hours: Monday–Saturday, 8 AM – 3 PM
  • Holiday Closures: View our holiday closure schedule

Please plan your visit so you have enough time to shop before we close. We kindly ask customers to respect our hours; we do not allow shopping after hours or on holidays.

Busiest Times

  • Days: Monday, Friday & Sunday
  • Peak Months: March–June & September–November

During peak seasons, delivery schedules can stretch out further. Because delivery times depend on your order size and address, we can only schedule once your order is placed.

If you’re hoping for a faster delivery, finalize your selections and delivery date early. We can schedule up to 30 days out.

Do You Offer Drinks & Refreshments?

We don’t serve drinks or snacks at the farm, but here are a few wonderful local restaurants nearby in Gunter and Celina:

FAQs

Can someone help me decide which tree is best for me?

Yes! Stop by the office to pick up your shopping materials, and our team will be happy to discuss your needs. If we don’t catch you on the porch, call us at (972) 372-4737.

Check out our tree inventory page with filters to quickly find the perfect tree, and don’t miss our Inspiration Galleries for ideas.

Can I bring my dog?

Unfortunately, we do not allow dogs on the farm. Even leashed dogs have attempted to chase or attack our free-range animals. For their safety and ours, we kindly ask you to leave pets at home.

Do we walk around the farm to shop?

Yes! Many customers enjoy walking the farm. We also have golf carts available, first come, first serve. They often run out on peak days, so arrive early. Drivers must be 21+ to operate carts.

Can I drive my car around the farm to shop?

Yes, the entire farm is rocked, and customers are welcome to drive their cars around.

Is the farm suitable for children?

Absolutely! We love when families bring their kids. Children enjoy golf cart rides and visiting our farm animals.

We just ask:

  • Treat animals kindly (no chasing or throwing objects).
  • Please, no tossing rocks into the pond (happens more than you’d think, and yes, we will give a friendly but firm Texas-style lecture about it).
