TOP SPRING PLANT & FLOWER SALES IN DFW | 2020 EDITION

February 14, 2020

3/12/20 Update – Due to the recent Covid-19 outbreak I would recommend that you checkout each event to make sure they have not been cancelled.

2020 welcomed us with lots of rain and cold weather, but I am hoping that this just means that we will be having one really amazing Spring show in North Texas. I am always planning new additions during the Winter and then adding new plants to my gardens in the Spring. Truly my favorite plants come from these local plant sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. They always have the more rare and hard to find natives that are not sold in box stores and we are very lucky to have so many thriving gardening groups in the metroplex.

Each year I share a new and improved list so you can find sales in your area. The list is also ordered by calendar date so you can keep track more easily, and I hope you are able to attend several. I truly love supporting our local arboretums and master gardener & Naturalist chapters and these plant sales serve as their fundraisers. My favorite find from last year was some Cashmere Bouquet aka Mexican hydrangea from the Discovery Garden sale. They were propagated from Dale Clark’s (the local butterfly guru) personal garden. I cannot wait for them to return and spread this Spring.

  1. I really appreciate all this information since I am working on an Event calendar for my MN group. However, the size of the print and excessive spacing on this article requires 12 pages to print out. It could probably have been done in less than half that. We all have so many things to read/look up/carry in our notebooks, please try to condense this valuable information for us in the future. Thanks!
